Responsibilities

Ballast Nedam is a leading Dutch construction and infrastructure company delivering complex projects in the Netherlands and internationally. Our international department focuses on developing and securing projects across different regions, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to prepare competitive and well-structured tenders.

To strengthen our team, we are looking for a Planner who will support the International department during the tender phase of new projects.

Role

As a Planner within the International department, you will play an important role in the preparation of tenders. You will work closely with tender managers, engineers, and project teams to develop realistic and competitive project schedules that form a key part of our tender submissions.

You will translate technical input into clear and structured planning scenarios and provide insights into timelines, sequencing, and potential risks.

Key responsibilities

• Develop project schedules for international tenders
• Work closely with tender teams to translate technical scope into a realistic timeline and construction sequence
• Identify critical paths, dependencies, and planning risks
• Support the preparation of tender documentation with clear and well-structured schedules
• Align planning with engineering, procurement, estimate and construction strategies
• Provide planning and resource scenarios to support decision-making during the tender phase
• Contribute to improving planning methodologies within the International department

What you bring

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
• Experience as a planner or scheduler in construction or infrastructure projects
• Experience with planning tools such as Primavera P6 or similar software
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to provide structure to complex projects for team alignment
• Experience working in tender environments is a strong advantage
• Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
• Fluent in English; Dutch is a plus
