Supplier Quality Officer

Our client is a leading global dairy company committed to delivering high-quality dairy and plant-based products. Their focus is on ensuring product excellence through rigorous quality management, innovation, and sustainable practices across their international supply chain.

We are seeking a dedicated Supplier Quality Officer for External Manufacturing to join the team in Amersfoort. In this role, you will oversee and enhance the quality performance of external manufacturing partners responsible for producing dairy products. Your key responsibility will be to ensure compliance with company standards, manage quality processes, and support continuous improvements across a global supply network.

• Handle customer and consumer complaints, monitor follow-up actions, and report findings.
• Manage the product release process in collaboration with external suppliers, including batch release in SAP.
• Lead improvement projects related to complaint management and root cause analysis, aiming to reduce issues and elevate quality.
• Oversee Supplier Quality Management processes, including tracking and reporting on supplier performance.
• Provide relevant quality, product, and compliance information to internal teams such as Sales, R&D, and Procurement.
• Execute monthly KPI reports to monitor quality metrics.
• Offer support and advice on QA topics to various departments, including Supply Chain, R&D, and Procurement.
• Maintain strong relationships with external manufacturers, supporting their quality initiatives and performance targets.

• Bachelor’s degree in food science, Chemistry, Microbiology, or a related scientific/technical field.
• At least 4 years of experience, ideally in food manufacturing or related industries.
• Knowledge of QA systems, dairy product processes, and familiarity with databases like SAP.
• Fluency in Dutch and English, both written and spoken.
• Strong organizational skills, analytical mindset, and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a complex, international setting.
• Experience working with external partners and managing cross-cultural teams is a plus.
