Contract: 40 hours per week

Are you an experienced procurement professional ready for a high‑impact role?

JP Gray is recruiting for a Procurement Consultant for our client, a leading international organization based in Amsterdam. This role is ideal for someone who combines strong analytical capability with excellent stakeholder management and negotiation skills. You will work on regional and global procurement initiatives with a spend scope of up to €10M and take full ownership of at least one procurement category.

Your responsibilities

In this role, you will:

• Manage multiple complex procurement projects with high business impact
• Lead regional or global tendering and contracting activities up to €10M spend scope
• Own at least one full procurement category, overseeing relevant subcategories
• Independently negotiate pricing and contractual terms with regional C‑level suppliers
• Source products and services and drive the supplier selection process
• Lead and monitor supplier performance together with internal business partners
• Support the Senior Procurement Manager on strategic sourcing activities
• Ensure alignment with data privacy, security, risk and sustainability requirements
• Prepare and analyze spend data, KPIs, and internal reports to drive cost‑reduction opportunities
• Ensure compliance with procurement standards and internal controls
• Support Finance Operations and Accounting Operations in building a best‑in‑class procurement function
• Act as first point of contact for vendor escalations and procurement‑related issues
• Lead commercial processes as part of cross‑functional project teams
• Manage non‑standard contracts across various commercial and operating models (with Legal/Risk approval)
• Promote procurement best practices within the wider organization
• Ensure optimal execution of daily procurement operations in a compliant manner
• Act as a backfill for the Procurement Manager when required

Communication & stakeholder engagement

You will work closely with:

• Internal stakeholders such as People, Finance, PS, CS, and Marketing
• Contract management stakeholders including Legal, Risk, and Security
• External suppliers, including regional C‑level counterparts

You will serve as:

• The main point of contact for contract creation and tendering
• The intermediary between business stakeholders, suppliers, and Procurement
• The escalation point for vendor and procurement‑related issues

Your profile

You bring:

• Bachelor or Master’s degree
• 5+ years of broad procurement experience
• Strong knowledge of procurement disciplines and operational practices
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills
• A proactive, solution‑oriented, and results‑driven mindset
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced, multinational environment
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Advanced MS Excel skills; experience with SAP is a plus
• Tendering and contracting experience, preferably in services or P2P processes
• Affinity with legal, risk, security, and data privacy topics
