As Managing Director of Mondi Breda, you will lead the successful transition of a family-owned display and POS business into a fully integrated corporate environment aligned with Mondi standards.
You will provide strategic, commercial, and operational leadership to ensure the plant meets and exceeds defined targets in profitability, market positioning, Safety, Health & Environment (SHE), operational excellence, and investments. By developing and empowering a strong and diverse leadership team, you will drive performance, cultural integration, and sustainable growth.
Your mission:Strategic & Business Leadership- Develop and manage the plant in alignment with business plan assumptions, ensuring profitability and effective cost control.
- Define and execute a clear mid- to long-term strategy aligned with the Corrugated Solutions Segment and Central West region.
- Drive profitable growth through active commercial engagement, customer relationship management, and portfolio development.
- Develop budgets, monitor financial KPIs, and implement cost optimisation initiatives to maximise profitability and cash performance.
- Lead the integration of the plant into Mondi standards, policies, and governance frameworks (e.g., Safety & Health, compliance, reporting, financial controls).
- Ensure alignment with Group initiatives and collaboration across the wider Mondi network.
- Maintain constructive cooperation with the local Works Council and ensure compliance with Dutch labour regulations.
- Oversee plant operations to ensure overall cost control, efficiency, productivity, waste reduction, quality excellence, and adherence to sustainability targets.
- Optimise manufacturing processes, supply chain coordination, and production technologies.
- Ensure robust SHE standards and a strong safety culture across the organisation.
- Lead and develop the site leadership team, creating clarity in roles, accountability, and performance expectations.
- Build high-performance, inclusive teams and promote talent development and succession planning.
- Assess, recruit, and develop competencies required for future success.
- Foster an open, engaging communication culture across all levels of the plant (approx. 60 employees).
- Build and maintain trusted relationships with internal stakeholders across the Mondi Group.
- Represent Mondi Breda externally with customers, suppliers, and local authorities.
- Act as a visible and approachable leader with a strong presence on site.
- Leadership experience managing a production site, ideally within corrugated packaging, display & POS, or a related manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of corrugated display and POS product specifications and customer requirements.
- Proven track record of delivering financial and operational results, improving efficiency, and achieving targets.
- Experience driving transformation and change processes in complex, fast-paced environments.
- Experience working within a matrix organisation; exposure to Works Council environments is an advantage.
- Strong commercial acumen with demonstrated passion for customer engagement and business development.
- Excellent communication skills in Dutch and English, with the ability to engage diverse employee groups transparently and effectively.
- Strong people leadership capabilities: inspires and develops talent, defines accountability, and manages performance proactively.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to balance big-picture thinking and hands‑on execution.
