A Day in the Life of a Finance Assistant

Your day begins by checking the latest bank statements and incoming mail. A colleague has just submitted a travel expense claim, and several new invoices are waiting for approval.

You dive into the AP process. You verify that incoming invoices match our purchase orders and ensure all supporting documentation is in place. You then record these transactions into our accounting system and prepare the payment runs. After a quick coffee break, you focus on document management. Whether digital or physical, you ensure every financial record is perfectly filed and easy to retrieve.You shift your focus to outstanding receivables. You monitor which payments are overdue and assist in following up with clients. Your professional approach ensures our cash flow remains healthy.A request comes in from the Finance Manager for a specific journal entry. You handle it with ease, ensuring the daily administration is fully up to date before you head home.

Key Responsibilities

Your role is vital to our daily operations and covers three main pillars:

Accounts Payable & Expense Processing

Reviewing and verifying invoices and supporting documentation.

Recording transactions and preparing journal entries.

Preparing and arranging payments and reviewing employee expense claims.

Document Management

Maintaining proper filing and storage of financial documents.

Supporting daily document administration and record-keeping.

Accounts Receivable Support

Monitoring outstanding receivables and assisting with the follow-up of overdue payments.

What We Offer

A competitive gross monthly salary between €3,000 and €3,500 (based on a 40-hour work week).

Reimbursement of €0.23 per kilometer for your commute.
