Senior RPA Developer
to join the DHL eCommerce Accounting team.The eCommerce Accounting team is a part of eCommerce and was created 9 years ago and grew rapidly from 5 to 43 colleagues. We are a team of enthusiastic colleagues and with an average age of just above 30 years we have a soled mix of new insights and experience. Currently we are responsible for the accounting of four administrations within Parcel Benelux. As the market shows rapid growth and is always changing a part of our day to day activities consists of working at innovative projects like RPA (Robotics Process Automation) and process improvements. Our Accounting team is divided into four teams: Accounts Payable, General Ledger, RPA & Oracle Cloud Fin. Support and Treasury / Intercompany.
How will you contribute to the success of DHL?
The RPA solution provides a secure, IT-supported platform for automating business processes, enabling digital workers to perform tasks without human intervention. The Senior RPA Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust automation solutions, ensuring adherence to best practices and architectural standards. This role focuses on delivering high-quality, scalable automations that improve efficiency, reduce manual effort, and enhance process accuracy. The Senior RPA Developer also provides technical leadership, supports solution governance, and collaborates with stakeholders to ensure successful deployment and continuous improvement of RPA solutions.
Other key tasks:
- Providing a superior level of experience and knowledge of the RPA solution and associated methodology to support colleagues through all phases of the RPA delivery lifecycle.
- Ability to design, develop, and deploy automation workflows using UiPath Studio, Orchestrator, and related components.
- Understanding programming fundamentals and writing custom scripts or components.
- Familiarity with Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment pipelines using GitHub.
- Ability to connect bots with external systems and databases.
- Providing architectural control over solution designs to ensure consistency and continuity across delivery teams.
- Identifying and communicating the technical infrastructure requirements.
- Designing RPA process solutions in accordance with standard RPA design principles and conventions.
- Configuring RPA processes and objects using core workflow principles that are efficient, well-structured, maintainable, and easy to understand.
- Creating and maintaining solution documentation.
- Supporting existing processes and implementing change requirements as part of a structured change control process.
- Problem-solving issues that arise in day-to-day running of RPA processes and providing timely responses and solutions.
- Communicating with the RPA software provider on software-related issues, suggested improvements, and participating in the RPA community.
- Creating and documenting test procedures and scenarios for the UAT phases.
- Conducting UAT with the end user and finalizing the go-live documentation.
Do you have what it takes?
As a Senior Developer, you have a minimum of 2 years' experience with designing, developing and deploying automated RPA processes as an accredited developer. Next to this you have good communication skills and you're able to present technical knowledge to a non-technical audience. We are working in a constantly changing environment and therefore we are looking for a self-starter who delivers high quality work and can adapt to new challenges, either on their own or as part of a team.
- Understanding of workflow-based logic and ability to conceptualize automated solutions from process diagrams.
- Experience with RPA tools, preferably UiPath.
- Programming knowledge: C#, or Python.
- Experience with CI/CD (GitHub)
- Experience with API integration (REST/SOAP), database handling (SQL Server).
- Aptitude for problem-solving, with logical troubleshooting skills.
