We are looking for an enthusiastic (Associate) Scientist to join our team in Oss. As a (Associate) Scientist, you will contribute the API/EM team. The API/EM team is a global support group responsible for identifying and categorizing extraneous matter (EM) in samples across all client animal health sites. Additionally, the team performs extended solid state characterization experiments on active pharmaceutical ingredient (API) samples.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Taking ownership of individual extraneous matter- (EM) and active pharmaceutical ingredient- (API) projects:
- EM projects typically involve checking in samples, understanding the requester's issue, perform the analysis independently and write all the results in a report.
- API projects generally include checking in samples, performing comprehensive measurements using various techniques, and preparing detailed reports.
- Performing support tasks for lab readiness
Qualifications
- A completed degree in chemistry or life sciences (BSc or MSc with at least 1-2 years of experience)
- Experience with EM and API investigations.
- Experience with FTIR, SEM-EDX, XRPD, TGA, DSC and DVS.
- Experience with writing investigative reports
- Experience with electronic lab journal
- Teamplayer
- Out of the box thinking, and capability to deal with working under (time) pressure and changing priorities;
- Basic understanding of GMP
- Effective communicator with in-depth technical scientific expertise
- Good command of Dutch and English, both spoken and written
