In this role, your focus is to set up the supply chain and secure supply chain requirements for New Product Introduction (NPI) projects during the various phases in the Product Creation Process (PCP). You liaise with many internal and external stakeholders like procurement, supplier quality, sales, project management to understand and challenge the required Quality, Logistics, Technology and Costs (QLTC) performance levels of the customers and internal organization.

- Preparing the supplier selection to define and set up the supply chain for NPI projects, including all procurement deliverables.
- Ensuring procurement of all relevant parts (including operational set up and follow up in ERP system) with a QLTC optimized/negotiated performance level.
- Validating material costs for the project and capturing them accurately in the project budget.
- Keeping track of material cost variances and escalating them to the project leader through the appropriate process.
- Together with SQA engineers qualify required new suppliers (e.g. Supplier audits).
- Preparing and negotiating new and existing long-term purchasing contracts with (international) suppliers.
- Participating actively in improvement of procurement related processes/methods, such as NPI procedures, templates and contractual agreements.
First of all, you have excellent communication skills and you have a strong personality. You are proactive as a partner for the other project members for setting up the chain of delivery.
- Bachelor's degree, technical and/or business, preferably in the area of mechanics or mechatronics’ or a secondary vocational degree (MBO+) combined with relevant equivalent experience
- NEVI 1 and NEVI 2 education or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years’ relevant work experience in comparable function in supply chain management/procurement in the high-tech low volume industry,
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and respective cost drivers and able to understand technical drawings (tolerances/manufacturability).
- Extensive knowledge of ERP systems.
- Strong personality, result driven and easily connecting with suppliers to get the right things done,
- Languages: Dutch (mandatory), English, German preferred.
