The Utilities Installations Engineering Manager is responsible for sustaining and expanding the utilities and facilities installations at the Nijmegen site, as defined in the Installation Master Plans. This role ensures compliance with legal and regulatory safety requirements, oversee capacity expansion projects, and drive continuous improvement in processes and reliability.
In this exciting role you will be:Responsible for safe and uninterrupted supply of utilities, products and services to enable 24/7 operation of the ICN8 waferfab while optimizing the cost/performance balance.
Provide leadership and coaching to engineers, ensuring the short-, medium-, and long-term quality for reliability and quality of installations.
Pro-actively anticipate on fab expansion/modification plans to ensure that the capacity of facilities systems matches demand (master planning).
Your Responsibilities- Responsible for safe operations & maintenance policy for a wide range of central facilities systems, distribution systems, cleanroom operation and waste collection/treatment systems.
- Financial responsible for keeping maintenance spend within budgetary limits.
- Participate in the Facilities management team. Close cooperation with the facilities projects team, facilities demand management, procurement, F&A and the waferfab.
- Manage and participate in incident prevention and resolving (8D, 3x5 why, case mapping).
- Stimulate and guide continuous improvement.
- Interact with fab (section) managers to resolve operational issues on a tactical/strategical level.
- Participate in internal and external audits (customers, authorities, insurance) against (automotive) industry standards IATF 16949 and national legislation (Seveso).
- Bachelor/master's degree in a technical discipline.
- 10-15 years’ experience in a similar industrial environment with similar responsibilities.
- Knowledge or experience of a number of the following domains is a plus: air conditioning, vacuum, demineralized water systems, cooling machines, boilers/water heaters, emergency back‑up power generators, compressors, waste water treatment, gas scrubber, extraction systems and industrial gases.
- Strong developed skills in safety awareness and people management (x12 FTEs).
- Excellent communication skills (Fluent in English and willing to learn Dutch).
- Solid understanding of maintenance methodologies (RCM), associated financial management and performance management (KPI’s, BBSC).
