This Shared Service Center offers employment to over 550 employees, with 40 nationalities, who speak 34 languages. For the Global Business Project Organization (BPO) department, DHL Express is looking for a motivated and results-oriented colleague to support the development and administration of project management plans and processes to successfully deliver projects and realize benefits while meeting cost, timeline and quality parameters.
About the team
Our Global Business Project Organization (BPO) team has a global scope and is divided into two pools: Project Management and Business Analysts. Globally our team has approximately 100 members, based in Maastricht, Kuala Lumpur and Costa Rica. We focus on deploying systems, processes and tools across the Express Finance Organization and driving digitalization and automation (data science, robotics). How will you contribute to the success of DHL?
As an Experienced Professional (Junior) Project Manager, you are responsible for driving the project team to deliver projects primarily within the Finance function. You shape the project, leads it execution, ensure delivery of outcomes and advise the organsation on further improvements.
- Prepare estimates of costs, resource requirements and timelines;
- Support administration of project management plans and processes;
- Design, communicate and implement operational plans for projects;
- Maintain project expenditure in line with budget;
- Track milestones and report progress;
- Assist in coordination activities such as schedules, budgets and forecasts;
- Resolve operational problems and minimize delays;
- Deliver administrative tasks (meeting arrangements, agendas, progress reports);
- Support benefit alignment, realization and tracking mechanisms;
- Apply understanding of business processes to administer project solutions;
- Seek stakeholder feedback and challenge decisions where needed;
- Provide functional advice or training to less experienced colleagues;
- Keep up-to-date on technical developments in the field.
Do you have what it takes?
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent, ideally in Finance, IT or Business;
- Some Finance process knowledge (OTC, FA);
- Project / Program management certification (e.g., PRINCE2);
- Analytical skills with a cross-organizational mindset;
- Excellent communication and presentation skills and the ability to challenge the status quo;
- Minimum of 2 years of working experience in Project Management;
- Digital mindset and experience with automated Project Management solutions is beneficial.
