Do you recognize yourself in the following aspects?
- Bachelor/Master degree in Life Sciences, Applied Physics, Chemistry or in a related field.
- Well-grounded thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent understanding of Excel-based precise formulas.
- Experience with (Computer) System Validation in a GXP environment.
- Proven experience in automation, quality control, or related fields.
- Experience with the Empower software platform is a plus.
- Planning skills, ability to prioritize multiple commitments and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Good team player, also able to work independently. You are able to take actions in the absence of specific instructions. You can read and write protocols/reports, business correspondence, and procedures.
The Automation Specialist will work on the implementation of automation products related to separation assays (i.e., chromatography) in a dedicated team. This role is project-based. You will be part of the Empower project team and participate as a project member. Your responsibilities include:
- Supporting automation Lab Systems processes, standards, and data management.
- Participating in or leading lab systems initiatives and projects according to business needs – commercial or new products (e.g., analytical equipment systems, global platform projects like LIMS, SDMS, etc., and paperless opportunities).
- Creating, reviewing, and updating related documentation.
- Cooperating with key stakeholders and representing the team in meetings.
- Being involved in continuous improvement projects.
- Documenting administrator procedures, technical installation procedures, and maintenance procedures.
- Providing support in case of problems.
- Adhering to compliance best practices, EHSS regulations, and lean principles. Performing other work-related activities assigned by Supervisor.
In this position, you will work at Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine. The need for automation support on Lab Systems is growing. The quality of data management, systems processes, and standards (leveraging existing and implementing new technologies) needs continual improvement. Lab Systems vary from analytical equipment to complex global platform projects, such as LIMS (Laboratory Information Management Systems), SDMS (Scientific Data Management System), and future new paperless opportunities.
- The position is available for 1.5 years. After this, we will check for a longer stay within the company or position.
- On top of your salary, you will receive an ADV allowance of 5.5%.
