Within this challenging role, you will…
…play a key part in maintaining and optimising our Center fleet management application to ensure smooth, efficient and reliable operations across our organisation.
Your role- Provide daily support to users of the Center application, solving technical and functional issues to ensure seamless operations ( twice a week from the location of the terminal in Rotterdam)
- Troubleshoot and resolve application‑related problems in close collaboration with internal teams and external partners
- Deliver training sessions for new and existing users
- Create and maintain documentation, including user guides and standard procedures
- Analyse workflows and identify opportunities to optimise processes and improve user experience
- Assist in testing, debugging and deploying new features and updates
- Act as the primary liaison between end‑users and the IT department, providing clear communication on changes, issues and updates
- Coordinate with vendors and support partners for the escalation of complex issues
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science or equivalent experience
- Experience in application support or a similar role is a strong advantage
- Understanding of fleet management software
- Knowledge of database concepts and basic scripting is beneficial
- Strong skills in Windows environments and Microsoft Office
- Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities
- Strong communication skills, able to translate technical information into clear user‑friendly language
- Able to work independently as well as within a team
- Proactive, structured, accurate and committed to continuous learning
- Calm, polite and efficient during busy or stressful moments
- Eligible to obtain the legally required positive safety advice for critical port functions
