Our Finance & Control Assistant and/or "werkstudent" opening

We are looking for a proactive Finance & Control Assistant and or "werkstudent" to join our Utrecht office on a part-time basis. You will provide essential support to the Finance & Control team by contributing to the accounts receivable (AR) process of our business.

This is a hands?'on position for someone who has an eye for details, is organised and comfortable coordinating with colleagues across our 11 global offices to gather necessary data.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and issue invoices for various Group entities
• Send payment reminders and follow up on outstanding invoices, both internally and externally
• Maintain and update contracts within the billing system
• Support accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
• Assist with month?'end closing activities and financial reporting procedures
• Reconcile selected balance sheet accounts
• Contribute to the optimisation and improvement of internal financial processes

Who you are

• Either a student or recent graduate in Accounting, or a related field, or
• An aspiring accounting professional looking for part?'time work, ideally with work experience in an SME environment
• Accounting basics: You have a basic understanding of accounting processes and enjoy working with numbers
• Organised & discreet: You are structured, process?'driven, and able to handle sensitive information with discretion
• Clear communicator: You have strong written and verbal communication skills in English (Dutch is a plus)
• Process improver: You are keen to help improve and automate internal finance processes
• Proactive team player: You enjoy working in a team, take initiative, and are a self?'starter
• Reliable: You take ownership of tasks and follow through, allowing the team to focus on broader priorities

Package and application

This position is to be filled on a minimum 6?'month contract on a part?'time basis (16?'24 hours/week), starting as soon as practicable.
