For their site in Papendrecht, we are looking for a Safety Advisor with the specialism in occupational health to strengthen the HSE team.
What will you do: Policy & Governance- Contribute to the development and formulation of the company’s HSE policy in close cooperation with relevant stakeholders.
- Implement and embed approved policies across the organization.
- Monitor relevant (inter)national legislation and regulations and advise the organization on implications and required actions.
- Translate legal and regulatory requirements into internal procedures and guidelines and ensure effective implementation.

Safety & Health (Occupational Hygiene)- Coordinate and oversee exposure measurements and ensure timely and accurate reporting.
- Advise on occupational health topics such as vibrations, radiation and vulnerable employee groups.
- Coordinate and execute actions in line with the HSE annual plan (including RI&E, exposure monitoring, PMO/PAGO, etc.).
- Organize, conduct, document and follow up on safety audits related to working conditions.
- Ensure accurate registration and maintenance of relevant data in designated information systems.
- Lead incident investigations and ensure proper analysis, follow-up and closure of corrective actions, in consultation with safety specialists where required.
- Act as a key point of contact and subject‑matter expert for internal stakeholders and external parties (including the Dutch Labour Inspectorate).
- Provide periodic reports to management on progress, preventive measures, incidents, project outcomes, deviations and root causes.
- Prepare and submit required statutory and regulatory reports to external authorities and stakeholders.
- HBO / Bachelor’s degree
- Minimal MVK diploma (Middelbare Veiligheidskunde); IVK (Integrale Veiligheidskunde) or HVK (Hogere Veiligheidskunde - NEBOSH) is an advantage
- Minimal 2 years of relevant experience in HSE
- General knowledge in occupational hygiene. Prepared to obtain degree in Occupational Hygiene / Arbeidshygiene / AH
- General knowledge of applicable Dutch legislation and regulations, in particular the Working Conditions Act (Arbowet), Business processes, associated (employee) risks and mitigations.
- Excellent communication skills, able to engage and align all stakeholders. You are a trusted discussion partner for both the management, employees and external parties.
- You are an analytical and structured professional, intrinsically motivated to elevate the safety culture to the next level.
- Strong command of Dutch and English, both written and spoken
- Salary with a maximum of €6,790.00 gross per month, depending on your knowledge and experience
- 8% holiday allowance
