Head of Quality & Portfolio Management - SUN

Sunweb Group is looking for a driven Head of Quality & Portfolio Management – SUN who wants to make a real commercial impact on our core sun destinations and product offering. In this role, you are end-to-end responsible for shaping, optimizing, and growing the SUN accommodation portfolio, ensuring it is high-quality, competitive, and easy to sell across all Sunweb Group channels.

You combine strategic vision with hands-on execution and act as a key business partner for Purchase, Pricing, E-commerce, and Destination teams. With your leadership, you drive portfolio performance, pricing optimization, and strong partner relationships across our sun destinations.

This is a full-time role (36–40 hours per week), based in Rotterdam, with a hybrid working model (50% office-based). You enjoy traveling to SUN destinations and attending industry exhibitions to strengthen partnerships and stay ahead of market developments.

As Head of Quality & Portfolio Management – SUN, you ensure Sunweb Group offers the right SUN product, at the right destination, at the right time. Your leadership brings clarity, quality, and commercial success to our sun-focused accommodation portfolio by:

• Maintaining a competitive, well-curated, and differentiated SUN accommodation offering
• Driving pricing performance and optimizing guaranteed inventory across sun destinations
• Strengthening strategic partnerships and expanding last-minute and long-tail SUN opportunities
• Defining destination and product strategies for current and future SUN seasons
• Leading and developing a high-performing team with clear priorities and strong execution

What you will do:

Portfolio Quality & Performance

• Maintain a clean, relevant, and competitive accommodation portfolio
• Add new accommodations, including last-minute and long-tail options via connectivity
• Monitor property performance and actively manage under- and overperformers

Pricing, Cost & Inventory Optimization

• Lead Accommodation Risk Specialists in optimizing guaranteed inventory
• Ensure attractive customer pricing by sourcing strong commercial offers from partners
• Continuously optimize stock levels and availability

Planning & Strategic Management

• Analyze demand and define destination strategies
• Prepare the portfolio for upcoming seasons
• Set clear team targets and ensure consistent performance follow-up
• Contribute to budget planning and participate in sales and commercial meetings

Partnership & Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Build strong, future-oriented relationships with accommodation partners
• Request additional stock and support commercial campaigns
• Collaborate closely with Contracting, Pricing, and E-commerce to achieve shared goals

Leadership

• Coach and develop Quality & Portfolio Managers and Accommodation Risk Specialists (team of 8)
• Set clear priorities, guide execution, and foster a high-performance culture
• Drive collaboration, alignment, and continuous improvement within the team

What you bring

• 6+ years of experience in portfolio management, contracting, pricing in travel/ airline
• Proven people leadership with a strong commercial mindset (+4 years experience in a management position)
• Decisive, goal-oriented, and analytically strong
• Hands-on, proactive, and skilled in stakeholder management
• Excellent communication skills in English
• Strategic thinker with strong execution power
• Commercially driven and results-oriented
• Inspiring leader who brings clarity, focus, and direction
