To further strengthen and evolve our core Transport Management System (TMS), we are looking for a Business Analyst with a strong functional design focus. In this role, you will join one of our product teams responsible for the migration of our TMS to new technology. You will work closely with the Product Owner, developers, and testers to translate business processes and operational needs into clear, functional designs that drive efficient and scalable solutions.
To be successful as a Business Analyst, you are analytical, structured, and able to bridge the gap between business operations and IT. You enjoy understanding complex logistics processes and translating them into functional system behavior.

What will you do?Besides a hands-on approach, we value your input, advice, and expertise for:
- Working closely with the Product Owner to define and refine the roadmap for our core TMS migration
- Analyzing and modeling the new process and designs
- Translating business requirements into clear functional designs, user stories, and acceptance criteria
- Acting as the functional link between business stakeholders and the development team
- Supporting the prioritization and refinement of the product backlog
- Defining business rules, workflows, and data requirements within the TMS
- Supporting developers and testers by clarifying functional behavior and validating solutions
- Identifying opportunities for process optimization and system improvements
- Bachelor's or master's degree in an Informatics or IT-related field
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in complex operational systems
- Strong experience in:
- Requirements gathering and analysis
- Functional design and specification
- UML use cases
- Ability to drive discussions with Product Owners and stakeholders to clarify functional needs
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Experience working in an Agile / Scrum environment
- Preferably experience in:
- Transport Management Systems (TMS) or Supply Chain systems
- The logistics or transportation industry
- Good command of the English language (spoken and written)
- Currently living in The Netherlands within a normal commute of Haarlem
