CSMART is looking for a Specialist Instructor (40 hours per week) with expertise in LNG to support our Technical Department in delivering high‑quality LNG‑as‑fuel training for cruise ship officers.
In this role, you will combine hands‑on LNG operational experience with instructional skills to deliver classroom and simulator‑based training, support course development, and act as an LNG reference within the instructor team. The role focuses on training provided to cruise ship officers. You are contributing by bringing your skills and knowledge to the training center and sharing this with the training department staff members.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver LNG training modules using classroom and simulation‑based learning
- Share real‑world LNG operational expertise, with focus on LNG used as fuel
- Support course delivery, evaluations, and participant assessments
- Collaborate with instructors, course administration, and technical teams
- Contribute to continuous improvement of LNG training content
- Senior operational experience on LNG‑fuelled vessels
- Strong knowledge of LNG systems, procedures, and safety
- Cruise ship experience is a plus
- Passion for knowledge‑sharing and developing others
- Proficient in Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and knowledgeable about computers and network software
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; able to effectively convey information
- Ability to navigate complex social dynamics and work well in multicultural team environments
- Demonstrates a growth mindset and passion for developing others
- Works well independently and as part of a team

About the TeamOur Operations department offers top‑notch nautical and technical courses and programs. Our instructors deliver these programs including pre‑ and post‑course activities and course review. Furthermore, they stay up‑to‑date on the latest teaching techniques and use simulators to enhance our training. They also ensure that shipboard operations and procedures our taught efficiently. Our operators operate the simulators and assist the instructors with simulator exercises. Lastly, our scheduling and administration department ensure smooth operations by providing scheduling, administrative and logistics support.
