Responsibilities- Conduct fermentations of microbial products such as starter cultures and probiotics
- Analyze final and intermediate products
- Support the fermentation scientist and execute experimental studies efficiently
- Optimize existing fermentation and downstream processes
- Understand technical issues and their impact on yield and culture viability
- Collaborate with teams in fermentation, formulation, freeze‑drying, application and analysis
- Process and interpret experimental data
- Write experimental reports in English
- Present technical data internally
- Gross salary of €20.72 to €21.56 per hour

Qualifications- An MBO or BSc (HBO) degree in Life Science, Biochemical Engineering, Food Process Engineering, Chemistry, Biotechnology, Microbiology or a related field
- Preferably experience with fermentation of microbial products
- Willingness to learn new laboratory techniques
- Critical and analytical mindset with a hands‑on mentality
- Ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams
- Proactive, curious and ownership‑driven work attitude
- Strong communication skills and flexibility in a dynamic environment
- Good command of the English language for reporting and communication
- Knowledge of the Dutch language is a plus
- Availability of 32 to 40 hours per week
