As a Sales Executive at Blue Water, you are at the forefront of driving growth across our Transport & Logistics Division - covering Airfreight. Your mission is to acquire new customers, expand existing partnerships in the region, and work hand-in-hand with our dedicated teams in operations, pricing, and procurement. By delivering integrated, end-to-end logistics services, you help shape solutions that meet our customers needs and build our business in the region.
ResponsibilitiesWinning new business
You will find yourself at the heart of a dynamic logistics hub and bedeeply engaged in a company with a diverse portfolio of projects across the region, collaborating closely with partners, customers and colleagues to deliver innovative logistics solutions - all running through Amsterdam. This position is ideal for you who understands international freight, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and enjoys building lasting partnerships and aim for ambitious business results. Your role and responsibilities will incl.:
- Identify, engage, and secure new business opportunities within your assigned region or verticals
- Grow and manage existing client accounts by understanding their needs and offering tailored solutions
- Lead customer interactions and presentations (in-person and virtual), while actively managing your own sales pipeline and follow-ups
- Ensure smooth onboarding and service delivery by aligning expectations and coordinating across internal stakeholder
- Keep our global CRM system up to date with accurate information on decision-makers, potential volumes, pipeline status, and revenue forecasts
- Work cross-functionally with departments such as Operations and Procurement to ensure seamless, high-quality service
- 3–5 years of sales or business development experience in freight forwarding, shipping, or international logistics
- Highly competitive and motivated by targets, always striving to win new business and outperform expectations
- Achievement-oriented, thriving on immediate results and the satisfaction of closing deals
- Comfortable with risk and resilient in the face of rejection, maintaining persistence in pursuing new opportunities
- Skilled at lead generation and prospecting, excelling at identifying and qualifying new clients, pitching solutions, and closing contracts
- Energetic and adaptable, thriving in fast-paced environments and staying focused on the mission to deliver results
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport across all levels
