The Global Assignment Consultant (GAC) provides essential support to SIRVA’s corporate clients by managing international assignees throughout the full lifecycle of their global assignment. Acting as the primary point of coordination, the GAC ensures the seamless delivery of assignment management services in alignment with each client’s international assignment policies and procedures.
This role requires strong coordination skills, policy knowledge, and a client-focused mindset to deliver an exceptional assignee experience.
Key ResponsibilitiesRelocation & Assignment Management (60%)Oversee the end-to-end delivery of international assignment management services, including:
Policy counseling
Destination services
Household goods shipping
Immigration support
Departure services
Expense management
Interpret client international assignment policies and procedures, evaluating options to provide tailored advice based on assignee needs and country-specific requirements
Provide ongoing consultation and support to assignees throughout the full duration of their international assignment
Coordinate with internal departments and cross-functional teams to ensure a smooth and successful assignee experience
Manage communication with Global Certified Providers and monitor service quality and delivery standards
Client Communication & Support (10%)Serve as a key point of contact for client HR stakeholders on relocation and assignment-related matters
Support exception management by evaluating and recommending appropriate policy exceptions
Provide regular assignee status updates to clients, proactively addressing issues and proposing solutions
Support and complete client-specific projects as requested
Other Responsibilities (10%)Perform additional tasks as required to effectively support the Manager, Client, and Assignees
Qualifications & Preferred SkillsRequiredMinimum 2 years of direct relocation experience
OR
3 years of related customer service experience
Knowledge of international assignment management and global business practices
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Proven ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to develop creative solutions with minimal supervision
High level of professionalism, business etiquette, and interpersonal skills
PC proficiency, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and job-related systems
PreferredPrevious overseas work or living experience
Proficiency in a secondary language
