As a Cloud Engineer, you will design, implement and maintain our cloud-based infrastructure and services for our European organisation. Your main goal is to ensure that applications and systems run efficiently, securely and cost-effectively in a cloud environment. You will report to the Senior Manager IT Infrastructur.

• Continuously maintain our EU cloud infrastructure to ensure scalability and high availability

• Participate in architecture and design session related to infrastructure.

• Proactively resolve and perform root cause analysis for critical issues related to Medline cloud or EU container platform

• Work closely with Medline infrastructure and application teams to implement and manage secure, scalable, repeatable, and reliable infrastructure environments

• Collaborate with teams within IS organization to implement cloud and/or hybrid systems that support business objectives

• Create and update technical standards documentation

• Working knowledge of container-based applications running on Azure Kubernetes Service or on-premises and about 5 years of technical experience in design, system installations, administration and/or support of business systems

• Knowledge of Terraform Cloud for Business

• Experience implementing, maintaining and optimizing cloud infrastructure on the Azure Cloud Platform as well as building and supporting mission-critical infrastructure for critical applications

• Experience with Windows and Linux Server System, log collection tools and analysis; infrastructure performance monitoring tools and optimization practices like the Prometheus stack, Splunk; TCP/IP networking and routing.

• Experience with Rancher is a plus

• Knowledge of software development practices and methodologies (e.g., Agile, DevOps)

• Working knowledge of CI/CD tools and concepts - Azure devops, Jenkins, Artifactory

• To succeed in the role, you need to have the ability to see the “big picture” and scope requirements to the organization’s direction as well as advanced troubleshooting skills to drive to root cause.

• One-year contract, with the expectation of a permanent contract following successful completion
