Technical Manager - Automatic Parking Systems
Job purpose
Under the Automatic Parking Systems division, some 70 automatic parking systems are maintained (mainly 80% in the Randstad) and monitored 24/7. As Technical Manager, you are responsible for turnover and results for all activities within this business unit. In cooperation with the management, you determine the future strategy and the multi-year plan. You maintain and expand the existing (inter)national network of customers. You professionally manage the service coordinators, service engineers and administrative staff. For large new construction projects and overhauls, you work together with a project leader or take on this role yourself. In this role, you also work closely with international colleagues and staff at the head office in Germany and have a lot of influence in the development of systems worldwide.
Work
- You will develop and implement tactical policy in line with the Lödige vision and translate this into objectives for the department and work together with the international organisation;
- You ensure compliance with current legislation and safety requirements;
- You coach and manage your team (approx. 12fte) in a professional manner and effectively deploy the various skills and expertise to provide the best solution for the customer; you set clear goals for your team, supervise change processes and facilitate in terms of technical content;
- You draw up the long-term strategic personnel planning and monitor its implementation. The business unit is growing fast (doubling in 3 years) and there are many opportunities in the market to grow further and broaden the product range.
Profile
- A technical or business education at HBO level and experience within control engineering, mechatronics or mechanical engineering.
- Ideally project management skills with management of a small team or service activity (as an advantage).
- Commercial experience or training is a pre but absolutely not a must (technical drive is more important than commerce).
- At least 5 years of relevant managerial work experience, preferably within technically complex environment (control engineering or related).
- Leadership style: coaching, participative and inspiring. Both ‘hands on’ and tactically lead the operation.
- Organisation's core values: Driven, Connected and Sharing Knowledge in the Network.
- In possession of VCA Vol or willing to obtain one.
- Good command of the Dutch and English languages, both spoken and written; German is an advantage.
- Living in the Amsterdam region.
