Legal & Compliance Counsel

Chiesi is seeking a Legal & Compliance Counsel to join the Benelux affiliate. This role offers a great opportunity for an ambitious lawyer with experience in contract law and interest in compliance. As a Legal & Compliance Counsel you offer advice and guidance in respect of the legal and compliance aspects of Chiesi’s business operations and monitors their compliance within the organization.

You make sure that the legal and regulatory provisions have been applied, managed and monitored in such a way that Chiesi complies with all the prescribed guidelines and directives. You are responsible for an adequate and correct way of handling incidents.

Next to that you provide support for commercial transactions and negotiations on contracts and you are the local contact for any legal issues of Chiesi that may arise. Drafting policy documents and legal documents within the frameworks of local and European legislation are also part of the job. You draft and make sure they are timely adjusted.

Someone with fresh energy and ambition to grow. You have excellent communication skills and you are a strong team player. Willingness to learn about the Belgian law and policies is important.

Next to that you have:

• Minimum of 2 years of working experience as a lawyer and/or legal counsel, preferably in an international setting;
• Experience with drafting and negotiating various commercial contracts;
• Eager to learn more about compliance related topics;
• Knowledge of pharmaceutical law and experience with project-based working and independent project management would be a plus;
• Fluency in Dutch and English, knowledge of the French language is considered a plus.
