As Test Engineer, you will be the point of contact for developing and maintaining functionalities for payment terminals and our Payters portal. You’ll work in a diverse team of engineers, including a hardware engineer, embedded software engineers, backend and frontend engineers, and test engineers. Together, you make sure new features work as intended: you ask questions, investigate, test, uncover the true meaning of the requirements, and make quality visible.
- You read and understand requirements and translate them into clear test plans.
- You perform tests on both hardware and software, together with fellow engineers.
- You ask critical questions when things are unclear and observe with curiosity: what’s really happening, and why?
- You report findings, coordinate with your team, and help improve features.
- You support the maintenance of existing functionalities for both the payment terminals and the portal.
Your work makes a real impact on products used daily by real people. You’ll work with both hardware and software, without needing to master everything upfront. Join a close-knit tech team where curiosity is welcomed and your growth is supported through hands-on learning and mentoring. With 12 extra leave days, you’ll also have the flexibility to balance work and life your way. This role offers the space and support to grow with confidence and take initiative.

You have at least a bachelor’s level education in software (electrical engineering is a plus). You have at least 2 years of experience, for example, at a company that develops both hardware and software. You demonstrate that you:
- You can lead or coordinate others when needed, such as assigning test cases or giving feedback;
- You are flexible and can switch easily between different parts of the development process;
- You can empathize with the perspectives of different types of engineers: hardware, embedded, and software;
- You listen carefully to colleagues and stakeholders to understand what’s really needed;
- You are willing to ask deeper questions and investigate issues with curiosity to find what’s going wrong or what can be improved.
Additionally, you can assess what requirements really mean and read various programming or scripting languages, so you understand where the software or hardware needs to go. You enjoy working in a research and test-driven role where “testing” and “inquisitive” describe your working style perfectly.
