Our positionSioux Technologies creates advanced software for the high-tech industry, closely aligned with increasingly complex equipment and applications, and the ever-higher requirements they must meet.
As a Scientific Software Designer, you will be involved in the design and development of algorithms using MATLAB, Python, and/or Julia. You have the proper judgment to take the initiative to explore new systems knowledge domains and areas. You have a strong background in software development, with a focus on abstract thinking and modeling techniques. You have work experience, or it was part of your educational path, to solve the algorithmic problems in the area of applied math.
This is what we are looking for- You have a master’s degree or higher in computer science, applied mathematics, data science, physics, or similar.
- You are a team player and like to strive towards the common goal.
- You have at least 5 years of experience in areas where applied mathematics and analytical skills are highly appreciated. Work experience in a similar area is more than welcome.
- You have several years of experience transforming customer requirements into technical specifications.
- You have experience with MATLAB and Python. Knowledge about Julia is an advantage.
- You have experience with different development methods and techniques such as Jira, Jenkins, Git, and BitBucket.
- You are a quick learner in the project-related domain, and you have an interest in learning new domains.
- You have an analytical or research-type mindset.
- You can coach juniors based on your experience.
