Position Overview
This role can be based out of any European country, where CRH has an established entity.
The Vice President Innovation oversees and implements changes in approaches, methods, products, and processes to enhance competitiveness and improve organizational efficiencies. She/he identifies, strategizes, develops, and drives transformative initiatives and champions the role of innovation by aligning overall business strategy with innovative thinking.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
- Cultivate a vision, culture and process that capitalizes on current and future market momentum within the International Division and supports our OpCo’s with ideation, design and development of their innovation pipeline and launch of new products and solutions.
- Leverage market data, technology & market trends and customer insights to translate this into growth opportunities for the respective OpCo.
- As a member of the International Leadership Team, define, embody, and empower the International Innovation’s pipeline and culture.
- Scale, motivate high-output teams, and cultivate a creative and passionate Innovation mindset and culture.
- Be a hands-on leader who leads by example, strengthening our culture, teams, and processes.
- Be creative and tenacious in solution development and growing our International Division innovation pipeline.

Key Functional Competencies
You possess the following:
- Organizational Leadership: Create a comprehensive long-term innovation strategy for the International Division.
- Developing, strategizing, and planning new interventions that will drive innovation.
- Meeting with key stakeholders to identify areas of innovation and growth.
- Identify technology and market trends and lead efforts to understand the market.
- Develop and lead the execution of the International Division Innovation and product/solutions strategy.
- Foster a culture of innovation and collaboration across International Division’s OpCo’s.
Experience / Education
You are/have:
- University Degree in Engineering (Mech. Or Electrical) or in a related discipline, MBA preferred.
- 10+ years of experience leading innovation/technology strategy and implementations.
- Significant experience with technology-driven innovation programs.
- Exceptional visionary, marketing and communications skills.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate complex ideas clearly.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Fluency in English is imperative for this position.
