The Business Analyst has a focus on inspiring and driving alignment between business goals and IT solutions. Helping our business and IT to work out pragmatic solutions that get the job done and keep us ahead of the competition!
By analysing our financial business domain, identifying process bottlenecks, and utilizing the latest applications to optimize performance. Presenting the results to our Finance and Procurement stakeholders and aligning them with IT to find the most optimal solution.
To do this, it is important to formulate the correct (non-)functional requirements for the business and advising them on the technological lifecycles of the proposed solution. While also being aware of the impact of the solution on our applications via change management.
The colleagues who will depend on your support, are Business- Product Owners and DevOps Engineers. The first by helping to refine epics, user stories and features, the second by providing information from the business in the development phase and actively join in testing
Ultimately, you are responsible to sign-off on the User Acceptance Test. Your involvement on multiple levels is essential, but also makes your working days diverse and rewarding!
Your core tasks
- Serve as a liaison between business and IT, facilitating effective communication and understanding; Build strong relationships with key stakeholders to promote collaboration and ensure that IT solutions align with business goals.
- Contribute to the preparation of the organisation’s business plan.
- Analyse business requirements and design related processes, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of both current and future needs.
- Support Digital Transformation, to identify opportunities where IT solutions can enhance operational efficiency and drive business growth.
- Work with IT architects and developers to design solutions that meet business requirements and align with overall IT architecture.
- Refine and document features into stories for the development teams.
- Actively participate in all testing phases to e.g. Provide information, define test scripts, train testers on the functional aspects of the solution, coordinate testing, etc.
- Monitor the performance of implemented solutions and gather feedback from end-users to identify areas of continuous improvement.
- Stay informed about industry trends and technological advancements to proactively suggest innovative solutions that align with business needs.
What do you bring with you?
- Bachelor or Master's degree in a relevant field (either IT or business related).
- Functional knowledge of relevant business applications.
