As a Software Designer at Sioux, you are involved in preparing the requirements and you are responsible for creating and sharing software design, the implementation, integration, and quality of the software. You want to advance towards a role in which you provide technical control to the software development team, also making your own contributions to design, realization and integration.

Responsibilities:

• Demonstrate creative skills during the conceptual phase of projects, translating requirements into innovative, clear and realistic concepts.
• Act as a bridge between architects and engineers from a technical perspective.
• Assume responsibility for a module/sub-system throughout the whole software cycle.
• Possess strong communication skills to effectively guide and mentor a team of senior engineers.

This is what we're looking for

You love your job, and you are passionate about developing software for advanced systems. You also enjoy working in a team and getting the maximum out of it together.

• You have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science.
• You have at least 7 years of experience in software development in the high-tech industry such as semiconductor, analytical or medical.
• You have experience in building software that includes data-driven and/or system dynamics and/or control solutions.
• You act as a technical lead in a team of three to seven persons.
• You have experience with modern C++ and additionally, you feel confident using Python or C# for different operating systems, including state machine and real-time aspects.
• You have proven experience with various development methods and technologies (OOAD, Agile, TDD, MDSD, etc.).
• Open to work flexible times and willingness to travel abroad.
