Who we are?
Norinchukin Bank Europe opened its office in Amsterdam in 2019 and is a subsidiary of one of Japan’s largest and oldest financial institutions. Norinchukin Bank was founded in 1923 and is a cooperative bank with its roots in agriculture, fishery, and forestry. We are currently a scale-up of 90 employees and actively expanding our business in Europe, with a high focus on sustainability. We foster the open culture we’ve created since 2019.
We created a company culture based on our values of openness, sensitivity, engagement, and cooperation. At Norinchukin Bank Europe, we collaborate with colleagues from different backgrounds, with at least 21 nationalities represented. We respect and are interested in each other’s culture. What do we expect from you?
Our team is expanding due to new deals and continued business growth; therefore, we are looking for (two) Project Finance Associate(s) in our Structured Finance Division.
We expect our new colleague(s) to have the following responsibilities:
- Carrying out loan origination, structuring, and execution of deals concerning European projects in digital infrastructure and renewable energy;
- Reviewing credit due diligence reports, contracts, and internal rating applications;
- Participating in discussions/meetings with the credit review team and/or Credit Committee, and other banks and sponsors;
- Regular monitoring and amendment/waiver for the existing loan portfolio;
- Offering general support for various administrative tasks including KYC, loan administration, and reporting.
Who are we looking for?
You have a master's degree in economic or legal studies and are interested in project finance, preferably in Dutch and/or European renewable and digital infrastructure. Please feel free to apply if you have prior work experience in loan origination and credit reviewing. It would be of added value if you are familiar with the French, German, and/or Japanese language; however, it is not a requirement. You can identify yourself with our company culture and you enjoy working in an international setting.

Our working conditions are based on the CLA Banks. We have a 37.5 working week. We offer an attractive salary that includes holiday allowance and a 13th month payment at the end of the year.
