DescriptionTo ensure the right groups and meeting requests are converting and staying at citizenM hotels. The groups & meetings specialist is responsible for the sales and day-to-day organization of group and meeting business for all citizenM hotels. In this capacity, she/he is responsible for target revenues, pricing and negotiations, planning and implementation of sales activities and acquisition of group and meeting business.
The groups & meetings specialist works very closely with the other groups & meetings specialists and coordinators, as well as all sales and demand managers in the commercial team, in order to optimize each other's activities.
This role will be working on PM shift, from 14:00 to 22:00
Key Responsibilities- Accept and convert the right groups - decision making
- Point of contact for group and meeting bookers from Marriott sales organisation, companies, travel agents and conference centres for all locations
- Managing group blocks and meeting room bookings using all the tools available
- Create a group quote, send out offer following the SLA
- Work closely with the sales & demand team and revenue tool OneYield for pricing decisions
- Proactive approach to acquire repeat clientele and build relations
- Account management and build out production
- Work on projects and other (administrative) activities
- Assist groups & meetings coordinators with organising tasks where needed
- Group and/or meeting business experience
- Customer focussed
- Negotiation skills
- Bachelor degree
- Proactive attitude, show initiative
- Organisational skills with ability to prioritise and eye for detail
- Strong communication and analytical skills
- Fluent in spoken and written English and either Dutch or other second language

Location/Hours: Voorschoten Support Office / Schiphol Airport. Hybrid working is possible, not fully remote. The office should move to Leiden during Q1/Q2 2026. This is a full‑time role. This role will be working on a PM shift, from 14:00 to 22:00
