ABOUT THE ROLEYou will be reporting into our Europe Senior Packaging Manager and managing 1 Packaging Technical Project Leader. In a matrix organization, you will also be part of Europe Export and Commercial Markets (EECM) R&D team.
In the context of our strategy of growing for good and profitable growth, this role:
- Contributes to define and implement the R&D and local and regional Innovation-Renovation & Sustainability strategic plans.
- Is accountable for packaging projects from concept to implementation on site, whether they are innovations, renovations to bring added value or to save costs, social/environmental responsible or they are part of quality or production improvement projects or implementation of new bottling lines.
Main Accountabilities
- Contribute to the Local and Regional R&D and Market Strategies
- Contribute to define the R&D and market strategic plans within the local leadership team or the regional R&D Pack community
- Propose new Business opportunities / is proactive in sharing recommendations on strategy, development levers, innovation
- Accountable to implement the sustainable packaging strategy for the market
- Recommend and Report the key contributions of the R&D department to key stakeholders (S&G meeting, Local Excom, SC LT, SBFE, R&D LT, Local LT…)
- In charge of have doc and analysis requests for regulatory compliance of local Packaging portfolio
Lead the R&D Packaging team
- Accountable for his/her team's projects concerning the packaging development and on-line implementation to guarantee successful launches in time, quality, and budget
- Receive requests and contribute to projects recommendations & resources prioritization
- Contribute to pre-alignment meetings with Marketing Dir & managers, SC Dir
- Facilitate the links with key stakeholders for her/his team and advise to take right and limited options to maximize speed to market
- Ensure that the different databases (SAP/SharePoint) of specifications and bill of materials are well maintained by the team.
Lead himself/herself some strategic projects related to Packaging at BU level and contribute
- Coordinate all stakeholders, evaluate cost, profitability and draft capital expenditures dossiers (RAM), build and defend recommendation at local Excom.
Ensure the development of the RD team, and contribute to optimize organization, ways of working and processes both at local and at SBFE level
REQUIREMENTS- Packaging/Science background with a quality mindset
- Leadership and business acumen
- Understanding of packaging technologies and process
- Solid FMCG or industrial environment experience
- Project management skills with the ability to prioritize and think on their feet
- Ability to influence across a wide array of teams (R&D, New product development, Sales, Marketing, Procurement)
- Collaborative style that thinks team first
- Good understanding and experience in the bottling process is desired
