Commercial Controller

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Commercial Controller to join the organization’s Industry & Trading Finance team. In this role, you will serve as a key financial partner to the Cheese Sales team, supporting commercial decision-making, driving performance, and contributing to the long-term success of the cheese portfolio.

• Act as a trusted advisor to the Commercial team by analyzing financial results, providing insights, and offering strategic recommendations.
• Lead the month-end closing process for your designated product group.
• Support the development and implementation of sales and account plans for cheese products.
• Contribute to long-term strategies aimed at customer up-trading, reducing price volatility, and fostering sustainable partnerships.
• Monitor and advise on commodity price risk management, including hedging strategies and related contracts.
• Prepare dashboards and insights for commodity trade meetings, supporting decision-making processes.
• Conduct financial analyses to support customer segmentation strategies, such as A/B classifications and T2T engagement.
• Collaborate with senior stakeholders to define and monitor key performance indicators and strategic initiatives.
• Provide fact-based insights on price adherence, contract coverage, and margin development.
• Prepare commercial forecasts and analyze actual performance against plans for key metrics like forecast accuracy, sales growth, and volume trends.
• Execute activities within the Internal Control Framework to ensure compliance and accuracy.

• 5-6 years of relevant experience in business controlling or finance.
• Strong analytical skills and stakeholder management experience.
• Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, SAP, and Power BI.
• Hands-on experience as a business controlling partner is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills in English; Dutch language skills are a benefit.
• A proactive mindset with ownership, a pragmatic approach, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, volatile environment.
