Vacancy informationYou will be joining our growing Power and Energy team. This team is the core of our high-voltage engineering capabilities and is currently expanding to meet the demands of new, large-scale projects. We are looking for Cable Engineer, and we need a strong senior figure to help lead this expansion.
You will work on onshore and offshore projects, some of them being wind farms and some of them modernization of existing installations. Some projects are also in very urban areas so experience working with trenches and tunnels is highly desirable. The projects phases that you will focus on are feasibility studies, basic and detailed engineering - meaning that you will be involved in a lot of complex calculations, cable selection and layout design.
Besides being hands-on technically, you play a crucial role in mentoring and developing our junior engineers, delegating tasks, and establishing best practices.
What do you need- HBO/Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering
- 8+ years of experience in high-voltage (HV) cable systems, specifically within the 110kV to 380kV range
- Strong experience with HVDC and/or HVAC transmission technologies.
- Knowledge of European cable engineering standards and legislation
- Proven ability to develop and present technical designs and proposals
- Experience in mentoring junior engineers
- Proactive, solution-driven mindset with a collaborative approach
- Experience liaising with both internal teams and external clients
