We are recruiting for a Commercial Finance Manager. This temporary role provides project-based analytical support to the European Finance team during a maternity leave period. The ideal starting date will be 1 March 2026 for a period of a minimum of 6 months, ideally 40 working hours per week. Our office is located in Amsterdam, we support hybride working up to a minimum of 50% from our Amsterdam office.
The ideal candidate is analytical, structured, and detail-oriented, capable of supporting the existing Finance Analysts with data preparation, reporting, forecasting input, dashboard maintenance, and ad hoc commercial finance projects.
Because this is a support role, the focus is on execution, data handling, and reliable delivery however business partnering with the commercial teams is essential.
ResponsibilitiesProject & Analytical Support (Primary Focus)
- Support the two European Finance Analysts with data preparation, variance analysis, KPI reporting, and commercial performance tracking.
- Assist in maintaining and updating dashboards and reporting tools (DOMO, Excel, Hyperion Essbase) under analyst or manager guidance.
- Contribute to category, country, and channel reporting by preparing datasets, validating data accuracy, and performing initial analysis.
- Help prepare inputs for the Yearly Plan, Live Models, and Financial Updates (forecast cycles).
Commercial Finance Activities
- Support analysis of performance marketing
- Assist in identifying risks and opportunities based on actuals vs forecast.
Operational Finance Support
- Collaborate with Accounting and FP&A teams to support month-end close activities (data checks, accrual preparation support, variance commentary drafts).
- Act as backup for basic FP&A tasks during team absence (template updates, file consolidation).
Ad Hoc Projects
- Participate in commercial finance improvement initiatives (process simplifications, reporting automation, data clean-up).
- Provide support for special projects assigned by the Finance Director or the analysts.

- Supporting pricing strategy, promotional profitability, margin optimization, and ROI on commercial spend
- Strong communication skills to influence non-finance stakeholders
- Ability to link financial outcomes with broader business strategy
- Proficiency in Oracle, DOMO and advanced Excel
- Expertise in automation and AI
Your experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related field
- 10 years of finance experience (FP&A, commercial finance, or business analysis ideal)
- Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail
- Comfortable working with large datasets and translating data into structured outputs
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with tight deadlines
- Fluent in English; other European languages are a plus
