About the role
As a Sourcing Manager Electronics, you are responsible for sourcing highly complex and innovative technologies for cutting-edge projects and developing and driving the execution of the Category Strategy. All of this is done while outperforming on a commercial and technology level and minimizing risk on quality and logistical levels. Per (sub-) category, you are managing relationships with vendors and manufacturers while capturing cost reductions and developing and executing the category strategy.
Key responsibilities
- Co-define and execute the short- and long-term strategy for your category.
- Engage with and support the different Program teams in the Prodrive organization to drive the business priorities such as supply continuity, cost, quality, and technology advancement.
- Manage regular contact with strategic suppliers.
- Drive and lead commercial and contractual negotiations.
- Take the lead in escalations when needed and support the SQE and purchasing team.
- Act as a coach/mentor to Sourcing colleagues in situations like escalations and in processes like strategy development.
- Lead business reviews with suppliers to drive strategic objectives and manage performance.
- Develop the category supply base, identifying the need for in- and decremental suppliers.
- Scout and develop new suppliers and phase out redundant suppliers.
