To deliver high-quality management consulting to clients across a variety of industries with the aim of securing non-dilutive funding. Those on track to Manager will be expected to take increasing responsibility for people/team. Those on track to Lead will be expected to develop increasing capability in a specific sector or area of expertise.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- People:
- Manage and lead several concurrent projects from different funders. Plan and execute end-to-end project delivery, utilizing project team resources, delegating and overseeing completion of tasks appropriately within the team.
- Advise and help team members with writing and editing to ensure content meets the desired standard.
- Proactively identify potential issues in project delivery and act as a point of escalation to management.
- Coach and advise junior consultants within the team and develop mentoring skills.
- Deputize for the team Manager when required.
- Client:
- Act as the lead contact on complex projects, managing client expectations and accountability.
- Seek opportunities to deepen client relationships and identify leads for further work.
- Maintain and nurture client relationships while delivering projects; build trust and influence.
- Value:
- Lead the delivery of high-quality grant applications using strong technical writing skills.
- Maximize value by leveraging team strengths to create successful bids.
- Set benchmarks for quality of client deliverables and documents.
- Provide effective Strategic and Final Quality Controls.
- Stay updated on UK & European funding opportunities and sector-specific requirements.
Education and Experience: 3 years or more previous grants consultancy experience, or equivalent. Strong technical writing ability and experience in leading complex projects.
Computer Skills: Strong knowledge in Microsoft Office and Google Document Suite.
Certificates and Licenses: None
Supervisory Responsibilities: Responsible for coaching and learning of junior consultants and occasionally able to deputize for manager when needed.
Work Environment:
- Standard indoor working environment.
- Occasional long periods of sitting while working at desk.
- Regular interaction with employees and clients both in person and via e-mail and telephone.
Independent travel requirement: 5-10%
