Job Description – Site Manager (Europe)
Our client is delivering some of Europe’s most exciting technical mega-projects across data centers, pharmaceutical manufacturing, and other advanced industries.
With scopes ranging from €5–30M as part of €500M–€1B+ total builds, these projects demand precision, speed, and high-quality execution.
We are seeking a Site Manager who can combine technical expertise, leadership maturity, and political savvy to represent our client at construction sites across Europe.
You will work directly with general contractors, subcontractors, and end clients — while leading and protecting on-site engineering teams in high-pressure environments.
Key Responsibilities- Represent our client on site to general contractors, trades, and end clients.
- Manage and support engineering and commissioning teams.
- Oversee scope, schedule, cost, and change management.
- Direct subcontractors, monitor QA/QC, and ensure site safety.
- Lead commissioning: loop checks, functional tests, acceptance testing.
- Solve complex issues across HVAC, electrical distribution, and automation systems.
- Build trust and strong relationships, becoming the “go-to” leader on site.
- Produce accurate site logs, schedules, and progress reports.
- Support future project estimating and transition into project management.
- 5+ years in construction/automation project delivery, ideally in critical environments.
- Engineering background (Mechanical, Electrical, Automation, Construction Management).
- Experience with HVAC systems (>20MW), electrical distribution (>20MW), and PLC/BMS automation systems (>€10M).
- Strong ability to read and interpret MEP drawings, P&IDs.
- Proficient in scheduling/project tools (Microsoft Project, Primavera P6).
- Professional English (C1+); additional European language (German, Dutch, French, Italian, Spanish) preferred.
- Conflict Management & EQ: Remains composed under pressure, diffuses conflict, protects the team.
- Influence & Trust-Building: Gains credibility quickly; within months becomes the key reference point on site.
- Leadership: Guides teams in high-pressure environments; shields juniors from stress.
- Political Savvy: Handles difficult conversations diplomatically while safeguarding project delivery.
- Base Salary: €80–100K.
- Bonus: 10–15% performance-based.
- Travel Package:
- €75/day per diem (food/incidentals).
- €50/day taxable travel incentive (after 10+ days on site).
- Paid housing and travel to/from home, paid every 2–3 weeks.
- Relocation/travel fully supported.

- Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Sites – highly regulated, documentation-heavy, zero-error tolerance.
