We are StartMail, a Dutch email provider with a mission to make email as secure and private as possible. We embrace old, proven technology like PGP (GPG) as well as very new like the serviceworker API and are building a real PWA.
What will you do at StartMail?- Develop and maintain our Progressive Web App.
- Collaborate with the team to implement new features.
- Ensure the performance and responsiveness of applications.
- Work with modern web technologies and frameworks.
- Proficient in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Experience with front-end frameworks like React or Angular.
- Passionate about user experience and privacy.
- Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively.
StartMail has been around for a while and is part of the privacy search engine StartPage.com, which was founded in the late 90s. We’re working on StartMail with a small and close team in The Hague in a startup culture. We’re using Gitlab and Jira for development, Gitlab CI, Ansible, and Fabric for automation, packaging, and deployments. You will work on your choice of Macbook Pro or Dell XPS laptop. We have offices, no noisy open-plan stuff, lunch together every day, and an easy commute situated directly next to The Hague Laan van NOI train station.
