As Facility Scale-up Manager you’ll play a crucial role in scaling up QuantWare’s Manufacturing and Testing capacity: you’ll lead the build-out and operation of next-gen labs, nanofabrication cleanrooms, and test facilities that power commercial quantum computing hardware production.

What you’ll be doing

• Own new facility development end-to-end: budget, design, contractor and service vendor sourcing, delivery
• Lead site selection and evaluation working with external advisors and, where relevant, public authorities (e.g. Industrial parks, incentives, subsidies, regulatory)
• Manage projects at high pace: on-time, in-spec, in-budget
• Set up an efficient facility operating model and scale a small internal team
• Run facility operations once live, ensuring:
  • Safe & compliant work environment
  • Reliable facility uptime & monitoring
  • Cost-conscious scaling and continuous improvement
• Over time, help define when and how to bring in a more operational steady-state site manager so you can focus on new build‑outs
• Act with scale‑up mindset: pragmatic, fast, autonomous, outcome-driven

Your Profile

• You’ve led the build-out of a complex lab, cleanroom, manufacturing site or deep‑tech facility in a fast‑growth environment
• Preference for candidates who have done multiple site build‑outs or expansions - but we’re equally excited about someone who built one high‑impact facility that powered a major scale‑up
• Experience setting up or expanding production/industrial facilities in multiple countries would be a strong asset for future global expansion
• Experience owning facility operations after launch (uptime, maintenance, vendor services, safety, compliance, stocking, monitoring)
• Know enough about safety, environment and regulations to deliver and operate compliant, safe and scalable sites
• Strong commercial instincts: negotiating with vendors and contractors, shaping budgets, driving delivery pragmatically
• Bonus: you’ve run or contributed to site‑selection, bidding or incentive processes with governments or public agencies, not just commercial landlords
• Comfortable moving fast in a scale‑up: ambiguity, risk‑aware decisions, and hands‑on ownership
• Technical enough to shape layouts and infrastructure - you don’t need to be the cryo or nanofab expert
