MES & Packaging Systems Engineer

Our client is one of the leads from the Biotechnology industry who try to improve patients’ lives, by distributing their medicines to hospital and pharmacies in 100 different countries in the world, to over 10 million patients, in Europe, Turkey, Middle East and Africa Regions.

As a MES & Packaging Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for managing and supporting MES (PAS-X) and Serialization (Systech) systems, ensuring seamless integration with SAP, SCADA, and packaging automation. You will handle system configuration, lifecycle management, and provide technical leadership for packaging operations in a GMP-regulated environment.

• Lead the technical planning, deployment, and support of Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and packaging automation platforms, including integration with serialization software, ERP systems, and SCADA interfaces.
• Manage incident handling, change requests, and service support for automation systems, ensuring operational continuity.
• Perform system analysis, design, and implementation to support new requirements, site expansion, and lifecycle management.
• Maintain system configurations, perform testing, and develop documentation for system updates and changes.
• Act as the primary contact for system and infrastructure issues related to manufacturing automation.
• Provide mentorship and training to department staff, sharing expertise to build internal capabilities.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Life Sciences, or related field.
• At least 4 years of experience working with Manufacturing Execution Systems and serialization software.
• Proven track record in automation applications within regulated manufacturing environments, especially in biopharmaceutical or packaging sectors.
• Strong knowledge of GxP, 21 CFR Part 11, and validation principles.
• Experience with interfaces such as OPC, product serialization, and data integration.
• Familiarity with automation hardware, networking, and infrastructure fundamentals.
