Legal Counsel

Ready to be the go-to lawyer for major packages across projects, fleet operations, and brownfield scopes? Can you drive a negotiation plan, secure internal mandates, and land agreements on time?

We are looking for a Legal Counsel to provide end-to-end legal support for Supply Chain across major FPSO projects, fleet operations, and brownfield scopes, drafting and negotiating contracts under English/common law, shaping negotiation strategy, and partnering closely with procurement and contract management teams.

Tasks & responsibilities:

• Draft, review, and negotiate supplier contracts and clauses (MOAs, NDAs, T&Cs) under English/common law.
• Lead written/virtual negotiations (Teams), define strategy, secure internal mandates, and document outcomes.
• Advise Project Procurement Managers, Category Managers, Buyers, and Contract Managers throughout the sourcing lifecycle.
• Support contract risk management (indemnities, LDs, warranties, IP, confidentiality, insurance, compliance).
• Coordinate with Insurance, Compliance, and other legal teams to align terms with corporate policies.
• Provide pragmatic, timely advice for major EPC/FPSO packages, fleet operations, and brownfield modifications.
• Prepare clear summaries, redlines, and decision memos for senior stakeholders.
• Track actions/approvals and maintain audit-ready records and playbooks.

• Common law qualified (ideally English law) or substantial experience with English/common-law contracts.
• 5+ years of post-qualification experience in commercial/contracts, preferably Supply Chain/Procurement in energy (oil & gas/offshore a plus).
• Strong drafting and negotiation skills for complex, high-value supplier agreements.
• Confident advising cross-functional teams and balancing legal risk with commercial drivers.
• Excellent written and spoken English, crisp communicator on calls and in redlines.
• Comfortable working fully remote across time zones, occasional travel to Rotterdam.
