About the role:We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Quality Officer to join our team and play a pivotal role in ensuring the integrity and excellence of our R&D and development data. This position is crucial for supporting global registration processes and transforming innovative product ideas into scalable commercial production processes at the laboratory and pilot plant levels.
As a Quality Manager, you will collaborate closely with Regulatory Affairs to represent all quality aspects within project teams. You will also lead the implementation of Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) principles, translating them into pragmatic, actionable routines that drive daily operations.
Note: Due to the nature of the role, we are seeking Dutch-speaking applicants.
Key Responsibilities:- Support the implementation of Meatable’s Quality and Food Safety Management System (QFSMS) across the organization, including R&D, research laboratories, and the pilot plant.
- Build materials related to QFSMS, such as operational procedures, document templates, and deployment of QMS IT software. Experience in developing such materials is a strong advantage.
- Keep the QFSMS up to date, ensuring it remains effective and efficient.
- Actively participate in various projects to ensure Quality and Food Safety requirements are met within agreed timelines.
- Serve as an active member of the HACCP team.
- Supervise and conduct internal audits, quality checks, and hygiene inspections.
- Participate in relevant external audits concerning quality and food safety.
- Monitor and optimize all processes related to food safety across the organization.
- Design and implement systems for controlling incoming goods through supplier evaluations and material compliance verification.
- Oversee material and product specifications, including supplier assessments and follow-ups on compliance issues.
- Increase quality awareness within the workplace by supporting training initiatives on quality and food safety standards.
- Manage non-conformities, corrective/preventive actions, and change management processes to ensure continuous improvement in quality standards.
- Bachelor’s degree in Science or Engineering disciplines.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Quality or Quality & Food Safety roles, preferably within the food industry or bioprocessing sector.
- Solid knowledge of international quality systems such as ISO 9001, ISO 22000, GFSI-recognized certifications, Food GMP; familiarity with GLP or pharma cGMP is a plus.
- Experience working with electronic quality management systems (eQMS).
- Strong understanding of microbiology principles related to food safety.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Fluent in English (written and spoken).

We are seeking an experienced Head of Regulatory Affairs to lead our regulatory strategy, guide quality and food safety, and ensure compliance once we launch our products globally. You will have a pivotal role in setting the standards for food safety and quality, working together with regulatory bodies, policymakers, and industry leaders.

Responsibilities:- Lead the development and execution of regulatory strategy for novel food procedures and other regulatory approvals, with a focus on the EU, US, Canada, and Asia.

- Prepare, review, and submit regulatory documentation, ensuring all legal and quality requirements are met.
