Our client is looking for a seasoned physicist with strong programming skills to help us develop cutting-edge simulation and monitoring software for complex transport systems. You'll work as part of an international team of experts, directly contributing to solutions in areas such as hydrogen transport and carbon capture.
Your Responsibilities:
Software Development & Modeling
- Maintain and optimize our in-house simulation and classification libraries.
- Develop and enhance numerical models focusing on fluid dynamics and thermodynamics.
- Implement and refine simulation algorithms using MATLAB and C++.
Scientific Innovation
- Contribute to the conceptualization of new software solutions in the pipeline sector.
- Apply system theory and statistical analysis to improve modeling accuracy.
- Solve complex physical challenges in long-distance transport systems.
Collaboration & Customer Engagement
- Work closely with engineers, physicists, and software developers in a multidisciplinary environment.
- Act as a subject matter expert for customers and internal teams on thermodynamics and fluid mechanics.
- Translate client requirements into actionable software solutions.
Communication & Knowledge Sharing
- Clearly document research, models, and software developments.
- Present your work in internal meetings and at external conferences when required.
What you bring...
- Master's degree or PhD in Physics, Computational Science, or a related field;
- Deep knowledge of fluid mechanics and thermodynamics;
- Proven experience in scientific software development (preferably 5+ years);
- Proficiency in MATLAB and C++;
- Strong analytical thinking and effective communication skills;
- Fluent in English (written and spoken);
