They are seeking a finance professional with strong analytical skills, a hands‑on approach, and experience in logistics, transport, warehousing, or related operational industries. The Finance Manager will manage financial activities in the Netherlands while supporting the wider European organisation.
Job Description
Financial Operations & Reporting- Oversee daily financial operations for the Netherlands and support multi-country entities.
- Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes in accordance with Dutch GAAP and IFRS.
- Prepare financial statements, management reports, and operational performance analyses.
- Monitor cash flow, working capital, and liquidity.
- Lead the annual budgeting process and coordinate rolling forecasts.
- Analyze variances, identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Provide strategic recommendations to senior leadership.
- Ensure compliance with Dutch tax laws and statutory reporting requirements.
- Serve as the primary contact for external auditors and tax authorities.
- Strengthen internal controls and contribute to financial risk management across European sites.
- Collaborate closely with logistics, warehouse, operations, and commercial teams.
- Support pricing, procurement decisions, contract reviews, and cost‑efficiency initiatives.
- Contribute to strategic planning, investment cases, and cross‑border projects.
- Lead and mentor a small finance team (AP/AR and accounting staff).
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
The Successful Applicant
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
- Finance experience, ideally in logistics, transport, supply chain, or a similar industry.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS, Dutch GAAP, taxation, and compliance requirements.
- Experience working in an international or multi‑entity environment is a strong advantage.
- Proficiency with ERP systems (SAP, Exact, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics).
- Excellent command of Dutch and English.
- Leadership experience with a hands‑on, proactive mindset.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to operate in a fast‑paced, international setting.
