The Innovation PPM Manager is responsible for the governance and continuous improvement of project and portfolio management within the innovation domain. The role ensures that the innovation portfolio is aligned with strategic priorities and financial targets (innovation portfolio value > €50 million GP) and that projects are executed according to agreed plans and standards.
You facilitate and influence segment portfolio owners in making portfolio choices to create a coherent innovation pipeline and enable effective resource allocation. You promote and safeguard the FrieslandCampina project and portfolio management way of working, including the project funnel and stage-gate process.
Key responsibilities include:
- Executing and promoting project and portfolio governance within the unit
- Creating and continuously improving portfolio overviews to support portfolio board decision-making
- Tracking portfolio data, interdependencies, and governance schedules
- Providing insights into resource demand and allocation across the portfolio
- Challenging and supporting project managers and principals on budgets, benefits, and realistic planning
- Ensuring correct and consistent use of portfolio management tools (e.g. Principal Toolbox) and leading regular data update cycles
- Supporting the Innovation Board in evaluating portfolio performance, benefits realization, and process effectiveness
- Translating lessons learned into improved portfolio forecasting and value prediction
