We are offering a flexible way to create PBX systems integrated with, amongst other features, AI, instant messaging, chat rooms, presence, audio/video conferencing, meeting rooms. Our focus is to develop the world’s best and most innovative next-generation Unified Communication Platform that features high availability, horizontal scalability, multicast replication, redundancy, security (TLS, SRTP) and extreme performance.

THE ROLE

In this role, you will haveend-to-end responsibilities from architecture and development to deployment and support. You’ll be part of a professional development team based in the Netherlands, working alongsideQA Engineers, SRE Engineers, and a Product Owner. You’ll collaborate with other teams to ensure technology alignment across the platform and deliver a seamless, reliable experience to our partners and their customers.

• Designing, developing, and maintaining scalable backend services usingElixirand theBEAM VM.
• Building and optimizing real-time communication features such aschat, presence, conferencing, and PBX integrations.
• Ensuring systemresilience, security, and performancethrough thoughtful architecture and testing.
• Collaborating with SREs to monitor and troubleshoot production systems, ensuring high availability and reliability.
• Participating incode reviews, architecture discussions, and sprint planning.
• Contributing to the continuous improvement of our development processes and tooling.

WHO ARE YOU?

You’re someone who takes charge, stays in control, and thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. With several years of experience under your belt, you're ready to contribute meaningfully to a high-performing team and help drive the evolution of our platform.

• Deep knowledge of software development in general, hardened with at least 3 years of production experience
• Knowledge of Elixir or willing to learn Elixir
• High attention to details and curiosity
• Passion to learn and master new technologies and tools
• Ability to produce high-quality code along with habit of writing integration tests
• Motivation to solve problems and provide ownership
• Experience with working and programming in a Linux environment
• A general appreciation for open-source software
• Proficiency in English, as you will work in an international team

Bonus points if you have:

• Experience with concurrency and service-oriented architectures
• Experience working with high availability distributed systems
• Production experience with any functional programming language
• Knowledge of SIP
