The RoleWe are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Travel and Security Officer to join our HR team in The Hague. In this role, you will coordinate safe, efficient, and cost-effective travel for staff, consultants, and visitors across our international operations. You will also support the development and implementation of global travel and security procedures, helping ensure our people can work safely and effectively wherever they are.
This position is key to enabling the continuity of our programmes and safeguarding our teams in the field.
Key Responsibilities Travel Coordination- Arrange international travel (flights, accommodation, visas, insurance) for staff and visitors;
- Liaise with approved travel providers and negotiate cost‑effective services;
- Ensure compliance with internal travel policies and donor requirements.
- Monitor global security risks and provide timely updates to staff;
- Maintain and update organisational security guidelines and protocols;
- Support incident reporting and follow‑up processes;
- Maintain accurate records of travel bookings, security incidents, and insurance claims;
- Liaise with insurance providers, embassies, and government authorities;
- Ensure compliance with Dutch and EU data protection standards.
- Provide briefings and training on travel and security procedures;
- Support contingency planning with managers and teams.
- 3–5 years of experience in travel coordination, logistics, or security support within an international NGO, governmental organisation, or corporate setting;
- Proven ability to manage international travel logistics and liaise with suppliers;
- Experience in monitoring security risks and implementing safety procedures;
- Strong communication and advisory skills;
- Knowledge of risk assessment and emergency response planning;
- Fluency in English; Dutch is a strong asset.

- The salary scale for this position is scale 8 and, depending on experience, ranges from €3.522,60 to €4.432,50 gross per month for a full‑time 36‑hour workweek.
