Job Summary
The Vice President, HR - International plans, manages and implements a complete range of Human Resource services and support for Medline’s International regions ensuring quality programs, processes, systems, and services. The VP anticipates and plans for long-term human resource needs and trends in partnership with senior management. In addition, this individual provides leadership and direction to the HR teams in the regions and countries.
Job Description
CORE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and execute the HR strategy and plan for the international regions ensuring alignment with the global HR objectives and the business objectives of Medline and driving cultural alignment.
- Provide strategic direction and guidance to the HR leaders and teams in the international regions, fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and performance.
- Oversee the design and delivery of HR programs and services for the international regions, including talent acquisition, talent management, learning and development, organizational development, compensation and benefits, employee relations, and diversity and inclusion, ensuring compliance across multiple countries and regions.
- Ensure the consistency and quality of global HR policies and practices across the international regions, while respecting the local laws and regulations.
- Lead global HR projects, such as HR system implementations, HR process harmonization and global talent acquisition and succession strategies.
- Monitor and analyze the HR metrics and trends for the international regions, and provide insights and recommendations to the regional senior leadership.
- Manage the HR budget and resources for the international regions, and optimize the HR processes and systems.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with the internal and external stakeholders of Medline, including the business leaders, the employees, the workers councils, the vendors, and regulators.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education
Bachelor’s Degree.
Additional
- Willing to travel at least/up to 50% of the time for business purposes (most travel will be international).
- At least 10 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 5 years in a senior HR leadership role in a global organization, preferably in the healthcare industry.
- Strong knowledge of the HR laws and regulations in different countries and regions.
- Cultural awareness and sensitivity, with the ability to adapt to different contexts and situations.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- PHR or SPHR preferred.
- MBA or Master’s in HR.
- Previous experience with acquisition due diligence and integrations.
