Als Marketplace Specialist speel je een cruciale rol in het beheren en uitbreiden van onze aanwezigheid op diverse online marktplaatsen. Je zult verantwoordelijk zijn voor het ontwikkelen en implementeren van strategieën die onze verkoopprestaties maximaliseren, waarbij je nauw samenwerkt met verschillende interne teams om onze producten optimaal te positioneren en promoten. Jouw analytische vaardigheden en kennis van de markt zullen ons helpen om voorop te blijven lopen in een concurrerende sector.
As the new European Marketplace Specialist of TIP Group (Amsterdam HQ), you will be responsible for the online presence of our second-hand equipment on our own and external marketplaces. You are pro-active, hands-on, structured, strong at building relations and you know how to optimize marketplaces.

We specialize in trailer and truck leasing, rental, maintenance, and repair, as well as the sale of second-hand (used) equipment. As we further expand and professionalize our online presence in international markets, we are seeking a highly motivated European Marketplace Specialist to join our TIP Used team, responsible for the sale of our second-hand equipment.
The European Marketplace specialist will lead and optimize the online presence of TIP-Used.com and external marketplaces. These marketplaces include popular platforms like Mobile.de, Mascus.com, Autoline.com, and others where TIP Group can sell their secondhand assets to a wide audience.
This exciting new role within the TIP Used team means working in close collaboration with the regional teams and the marketing team. You will directly report to the VP of TIP Used.
Responsibilities
- Overseeing External Partnerships: Responsible for ensuring that agreements with external platforms align with specified advertisement quotas, and proactively renegotiating terms as needed to optimize outcomes.
- Listing Optimization: Create and optimize asset listings to improve visibility and conversion rates. This involves using relevant keywords, compelling asset descriptions, high-quality images, and other factors that influence a customer's decision to make a purchase.
- Stay Informed about Marketplace Changes: Online marketplaces often change algorithms, policies, and features. Stay updated on these changes and adapt strategies accordingly to maintain optimal performance.
- Marketplace Strategy: Co-develop, implement, and maintain our strategy for selling TIP’s second-hand assets and affiliated services on our own and 3rd party international online marketplaces. This includes understanding the target audience, competitive landscape, and trends in each marketplace.
- Performance Analysis: Regularly monitor and analyze key performance metrics such as sales, conversion rates, and customer reviews. Use data-driven insights to make informed decisions and optimize strategies for better results.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with and assist other departments within TIP, such as regional remarketing, marketing, operations, and asset management, to ensure seamless integration of our own and external marketplace operations with overall business objectives.
- Continuous strong project management, in close collaboration with many European & regional departments.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Operations, or a related field, with at least 3 years of work experience.
- Proven experience in international e-commerce and marketplace management.
- Strong understanding of various online marketplaces and their respective ecosystems, preferably in the transport or equipment industry.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Hands-on, proactive, and detailed approach.
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
- Good understanding of data analysis tools and platforms.
- Proficient in fostering collaboration across all organizational levels and backgrounds.
- Comfortable working in fast-paced, cross-functional, multi-cultural, and matrix organizations.
- Fluent in English.
