We are currently looking for a Senior Developer to join the team in Utrecht.
The combination of applied subsurface research, consultancy, and information management is a profession in itself. ICT solutions that optimally support and enable these challenges are key.
As a Senior Developer, you will make yourself indispensable in this challenging playing field!
The department responsible for data acquisition, information management, and data delivery related to the subsurface relies on a key team specializing in Geo IT research. This team collaborates with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, including colleagues from various departments and a major client, the central government, for whom they develop and manage the BRO. State-of-the-art IT software is essential for fulfilling these responsibilities.
As a developer, you will be part of a Scrum team. Working closely with your team, you will focus on various functionalities and the architecture of a (sub)project, performing the necessary tasks to deliver these projects. Additionally, you will collaborate with stakeholders to assess the impact of changes in existing systems, contribute to refinements, and provide estimates for implementation and necessary documentation.
Requirements- You have a completed HBO/WO education in ICT or Computer Science.
- You have at least 10+ years of working experience with:
- Java
- Microservices (Quarkus / Spring Boot) and associated development stack (Microprofile, JPA, REST, Jackson, etc.)
- Creating mock-ups and demos
- XML/XSD, JSON and related tooling (e.g. SOAP UI)
- Automated testing (JUnit, Mockito, Cypress)
- Software development street (Tekton, Jenkins, SonarQube, GitHub, GitHub Actions)
- Additional requirements:
- Knowledge of (non-sql) databases is a plus (PostgreSQL, Oracle, Redis, etc)
- Experience with Aglie/Scrum methodologies and practices
- Experience working with Jira, Confluence, Topdesk, and GitHub Enterprise
- Experience with GEO standards such as GML and OGC
- Experience implementing Keycloak IAM in applications

You work accurately, pragmatically, and result-oriented and you are a real go-getter, driven and with enthusiasm for the profession. You can handle confidential information well. You have a good command of the Dutch and English language, both verbally and in writing.
